Allison
Victorian Gown
By popular request- this gown is made
with the finest Venice Lace and a real bustle in true Victorian Style.
This gown is made with deep Venice Lace trim around
the neckline and shoulders, in your choice of white, ivory or black.
The top laces down the back, is lightly boned for support, without
being corseted. The neckline is a very deep rounded square, with
shoulder straps for support. The bodice of the gown is
double lined, and shaped for a flattering fit.
The amazing part of this gown is the
skirt- starting with a hand crafted wire bustle (light weight and
flexible for sitting). For additional fullness in the skirt at
the hem, a medium fullness
petticoat is provided to wear under the skirt. The skirt of the
gown
is slim in the front, and very full in the back- floor length when worn
with
the bustle, and a slight train when worn without. The hemline of
the
skirt has a very full pleated ruffle and additional row of Venice Lace.
Wearing the gown with or without the bustle gives you the option of
both
a Turn of the Century gown, and a more modern look. The simple
drape
of the skirts lets the romantic shape be the focus of the outfit- and
bustles
make your waist look tiny!

This is the Allison Victorian Gown worn
with the bustle- the bustle is adjustable to be larger or smaller, and
is removable. Wearing the gown with the bustle make this a very
comfortable and the skirt extra "swooshy". It is perfect for a
warmer day, an outside wedding, or indoors.

A regular bustier from a bridal store is perfectly suitable for wear
underneath for a bit of figure shaping without showing through the
gown. The lacing in the back of the gown allows for some flexibility on
how tight it is worn, allowing for it to slim the waist an inch or
two. A corset is not
required for wear with this gown, if you wish to wear a corset, I
recommend
ordering the corset at least two months prior to ordering the gown, and
taking
new measurements. Please remember that corsets are four layers of
fabric thick, and may make the gown hot to wear indoors or on a warm
day. A regular bridal bustier is perfectly suitable for wearing
with this gown, and will be a cooler option.
